Residential Pali Course at Dhammagiri, Igatpuri, India

V.R.I. announces Pali-English intensive three month residential course at Dhammagiri Igatpuri for the year 2011.
 
The elligiblity criteria is :
 
1) One must have done at least three 10-Day Vipassana Course & one Satipatthana course.
 
2) Regular daily practice for atleast last one year.
 
3) Must be observing five precepts for atleast last one year.

 

4) Recommendation from Area Teacher should accompany the form.
 
The course duration will be from 15th May to 15 August 2011. Students are required to come on proper student visa by 13th of May. The course will being with a 10 day course begining from 15th of May. Actual classes will begin by 3rd June.

One-Year Diploma Course in the Teachings of the Buddha, Vipassana Theory and Practice 

 

Under the Joint Collaboration of Vipassana Research Institute, Dhamma Giri, Igatpuri and Department

of Philosophy, University of Mumbai

 

Syllabus:

It covers both the Theoretical and the Practical aspects: Introduction to Pali Language, Pali

Literature, related Art and Architecture, Life and Teachings of the Buddha, Principles and Technique of

Vipassana Meditation, Practical Applications of Vipassana in the fields of Health, Education, Social

Development, etc. and various other topics.

Eligibility:

Old SSC or New HSC (12th Std.) passed.

 

Requirement :

Only those who will do a ten-day Vipassana course during Diwali vacation will be

allowed to appear in the exam.
