Video Archives Digitalization Project
Vipassana Research Institute

Meditators will be pleased to know that VRI has taken up at Mumbai,  the project of digitalization of the archive of videos of Pujaya Guruji. Some of these videos date back to the 70's.  The tapes include Course teaching material as well as Discourses and Guidelines given by Pujya Guruji and records of his various Dhamma tours.

Although the tapes have been stored very carefully at Dhamma Giri, some of them have started deteriorating and hence there is an urgent need to save them. Over 3000 Hours of video (tapes in different modes) is to be digitalized and preserved in the best possible medium.
At a later date, the public talks will be made available on VRI site or distributed on DVD etc.

This whole work will be done in 3 phases depending upon the priority and condition of the material.

The budget for just the archiving is expected to cross Rs 5,000,000 (50 Lakhs).

Meditators are welcome to donate for this critical project which will help in preserving the words of Pujya Guruji for future generations.
